The Living Dead was a game produced for more than twenty participants playing for a whole weekend. The setting played conspiracy buffs in a 1980s setting, getting caught breaking into a government research facility and then becoming captives themselves.

It was written and conducted by Teena Leipoldt, Larson Kasper, Britta Deutsch and Stefan Deutsch. With support from basa e.V. and the German Governments’ Bundeszentrale für Politische Bildung (Federal Agency for Civic Education).

The game won the prestigious FRED award of the German Live-Roleplaying Federation, DLRV in 2011.
